Thanks for all the subscriptions guys We're almost to 50 I've only marketed it here, but after I make sure everything is running smoothly I'll post it up on other forums and our Facebook wall.

So when do I get the first edition?

We will send out Newsletters at the end of each week to announce the latest Weekly Sale item and any news with MCI. The system is very flexible and this is my first newsletter I've ever undertaken, so I'm expecting there to be some tweaking here and there before I get it fully up to speed. For instance, it's currently only text but I will be adding support for images and theming in the weeks to come.

Will they be archived?

The system does have an archive feature but I've currently disabled it. Perhaps archiving would be more appropriate with a monthly letter?

Is it collectible?

Hahahaha It's from Marlin Crawler so of course!

Okay guys! The very first Newsletter is on its way to all subscribers! It may take a few hours for the system to send out to all mailboxes (it uses an automated process designed to limit server load).

I had fun writing it. I hope this turns into something really special! We've got 80 subscribers at the moment

I received my Newsletter at noon today. It looks great

Now that I know how long it takes to get em sent out, I'll try to send them out Thurs night or early Fri

I checked the server logs for the load on newsletters and they didn't even make a dent lol So I reconfigured the sendmail program to dish out waaaaay more copies per cron job. Next time I imagine it will only take 1 or 2 passes to get the letter to all subscribers

You should have been sent an activation link in your email, if you didn't get it I'd look in your junk mail for it.

This is true and I plan on adding more flair to the letters soon, I am still learning how everything works

Not sure what happened but I went in and manually added your email address associated with your forum account to our Newsletter Please let me know via Private Message if you prefer to use a different address and I'll make the correction if needed
