oil temp not working or plugged in. need help

hey guys im new, and still new to working on trucks so i thought you guys could help me. i have a 79 toy and i swapped a 22r from , my 83 part truck. i have it running and everything but the only thing i can figure out is why the oil temp guege is not working. can you guys help me. well i have some pictures but photo bucket not working on my computer

like auto trans oil temp? if the truck is a 4 or 5 speed then this would not be needed or work anyways

its a 5 speed , but i would like to see the engine oil temp so i know if its going to over heat, bc it might have a leak. well its the guage that is on the stock odomiter

Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

no thats for the oil pressure, the temp gauge is on the intake manifold, on top next to the head, behind the feul pump

No its not, that is the sending unit for the oil idiot light. It does not have an oil temperature gauge, just an idiot light.

I think yotaneck was talking about the guage in the OP first picture.  The guage in the picture is water temp.  The sensor in the 2nd picture is oil pressure.
