Once in a while I'll see it on ebay. Just a thought but, why not go with LCE headers? they're both carb exempt.

Your gonna have a tough time finding a tri-y header.   I have an old one but I replaced it with a carb legal LCE header.  Btw LC has quit paying for the carb numbers on parts so you would have to find one thats around a yr old.   I found the power much better then the tri-y on the freeway.

the LCE is a great product and does open up noticeable power but it seems like long tubes rob low end. Sometimes I wonder what the Doug Thorley would have been like. Lol

There is a guy posting on the San Diego Craigslist who has a lot of Thorleys mostly fullsize truck but some Toyota.  They are new and cheap and he will ship, just keep cruising SD CL because his ad comes and goes randomly.

Their headers still show a CARB EO number on the web site.

They may not be making any future parts CARB complaint, but existing parts that have an CARB EO would still be.........

Both of your quotes are B.S.  LCE still has a carb#, check their website.  If they stopped paying for it, they would have to remove it from their website or else be charged with false advertisement and fraud.  Also, I can find no less than 3 tri-y Doug Thorley Headers on Summits website.

You have been owned.

Wow so glad we get people on here which have to respond like 10 yr old.  The reason I said they were not carb legal anymore was a buddy bought one last yr and they said that these were the last of the carb legal headers.   I guess they change their mind.

As for the thorley, I was wrong and have no problem admitting it.

short tube headers like the hooker or Pacesetter for the 22r are useless.  they are so short that they are actually worse than the stock exhaust manifold.  get a long tube header no matter what brand.
