Who's going to bald tomorrow? Im thinking of heading up around 1:00 or 2:00 to see the fireworks over the lake in the evening . Let me know cause i haven't been up there yet. Also does any body know how crowded it got last year?

We are heading up tomorrow. Planning on hitting the trail around noon, wheeling around the hill til evening and parking on top of the world to watch the show. It does get pretty crowded up there with everyone lining up along the side facing the lake. See you all up there tomorrow , and have a great time.

sweet guys! i was up at shaver today too and i saw you guys heading up the 4 lane. i didnt make it to the trail tho, just hung out and chilled with family. i just got back too! haha

I ran up there with a friend in a stock-ish 97 4runner. We took the south loop and saw a lot of traffic. We didn't stay for the fireworks, but it looked like 20 or 30 rigs would be at the top for the show. Someone mentioned that somebody rolled a nice green 4runner, but that everybody was OK.

Just got back from Bald and the ranger said he counted over 113 rigs at around dusk!! There were a TON of rigs up there but it wasnt too crowded either.......And i saw IMMUDDY and his poor 4Runner just as they were leaving

Yeah, I apologize for and about my buddy that was towing me down the hill. He was a little overwhelmed i think and was not able to deal with the stresses of the day that well. My passenger and I are fine physically , but I am really bummed about my Runner.
Now to asses the damage and reassess the plan accordingly.
Anyone have any pics? I managed to get 5 pics of my Runner in the 3 days I had it out of the shop.

How and where did it roll? Must of been pretty bad if you needed a tow.

it didnt look too bad. look like the rear passenger side window area was a little pushed in, window shattered as well
i got out to look at which line i should take to get pass that big rock lol. i made it on my second try hehe
didnt get a good picture of it, only as you where leaving

Immuddy its good to hear everyone was ok!! I saw ur rig at the trailhead when i was heading up, i was in the white 82 with barbie stickers all over it. I heard that there was a couple more rigs that rolled/flopped at posi hill.
After the fireworks we headed to posi and there was a group putting on a good show, tires roasting, rigs just literally bouncing up posi im gonna see if my buddy can post some of the video he took.

i went just yesterday in my stock 4runner, with a samari, and two jeeps. we had a great time. dusty. we did the loop. it was awesome! my runner did an awesome job! it never let me down. our samari did pretty good too!

Monk....Sounds great. We will be at the property this Thursday evening and up the hill on Saturday. See if any of that snow lasts.
