My grandfather's '94 F-250 finally died with around 300,000 miles on it. The original trans is slipping and the oil pump finally gave out on the 460. In short, it would cost more to fix than just buy a different truck.

I found a 96 f-250 that is essentially the same truck with a lot less miles and it appears to be in a lot better shape. The problem is it is in Colorado. I am in Wyoming. How do I go about doing this? I will pay cash for it and have the title signed over the same day. Do I pay Colorado sales tax, or do I pay Wyoming sales tax? Can I just drive the vehicle back to Wyoming with the title and the bill of sale? I really, REALLY don't want to have to trailer it, although I can if necessary. Is there anything else I need to know? My grandfather runs his home repair business out of his truck, so I really need to get this done, done right, and done quickly.

Thank you.

when i lived in Wyoming for school, I bought a vehicle and registered in it Oregon, all that i needed to do was take the correct paperwork from the DMV to the state troopers and have the vin inspected....  as for the tax, if your not a resident of that state (and can prove it, drivers license obviously) i wouldnt pay there tax's... or your states tax's for that matter.... but yea might want to check with the DMV on that first lol
