Dog is man's best friend. If you don't believe me lock your wife and your dog in the trunk for an hour and when you open it see which one is truly happy to c.u.

thanks for the info. ive been told 4.88s unless i was going with a larger tire so 5.29s it is! but right now im trying to get it back on the road. it started missing on my way home yet it runs fine at idle. when i give it gas it starts to bust up. any ideas of what it could be?

I'd also agree on 5.29's fwiw.  How old is the timing chain?

not 100% sure. prev owner said he changed it but not sure how long ago. i drove it again and it would run perfectly fine then randomly start bustin up or if i give it too much throttle it would. im lost on it. :help:

Hey, I just registered but have been looking at Marlin products for a while now. I wheel a Suzuki Samurai (BUT) even we know you can't beat a YOTA drive train when tire size exceeds 35". Great site! Merry X-Mas and Happy New Year to all.
