it has a 22r in it. 5 inch suspension lift with 33s. which all need to be replaced. everything works on it though! its pretty clean biggest dent is on the passenger fender. Does anyone know if its that difficult to put power steering on these?

easy, once u put in highsteer, u will have it. Truck looks good

Where's the rest of the bed?  :cheese:

P/S is pretty easy; make sure you have bolt holes in your head for it and get the correct pulley to avoid this:

You can grab one from the yard; it's a 3-bolt upgrade and totally worth it. Keeps the belt on a little better too.

Future plans?

If you're swapping the push/pull steering out for power push/pull, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.  The biggest obstacle I ran into was getting the dang steering wheel centered!

Crossover is the way to go.  I have the IFS box, just waiting on funds for the X-over kit.

I have everything to go it besides the pump.

If you do hi-steer, there's a place in my town that has been looking for used stock J-arms (both sides) from solid axles. Name your price; I got $60 for the last set I brought in.

Alright. High steer isn't at the top of my priorities. I need to take it off the non-op im not sure what that's going to run me and tires and wheels are needed big time before I can even enjoy driving it.

Brandon505

So, as ive just been moving it around the driveways, i realized that for some reason when ever the clutch is fully disengaged it feels like it just takes off and the back tires spin, not sure why. and when its cold it smells really sweet, im guessing its running maybe a little rich? Ive never had a 22R just had the 3.0 any ideas would be helpful.

Your ride is badass
It's a good combination of ride hight, tire size and bed bob.
I think it will look sick with a set of marlins bumpers and sliders

Brandon505

I think im going to build the rear bumer. theres no back of the bed. for the most part i dont think the marlin one would fit on it. the bed ends where the shackles drop.

<James>

Brandon don't throw your money away on pre-made bumpers, my marlin bumper lasted about three rock trips and the sides kept bending up and I couldn't drop my tailgate. I know a few other people that this happend to also.  Making ur own bumpers is so easy just do it at work.

Brandon505

Exactly. And I like your bumper more than the marlin one to begin with.

Brandon505

i need to fix my front driveline. It is square and very loud when your barley going any speed. Any suggestions? I was going to put some grease fittings on it or i read someone welded a bead around the end of the male tube.

Peterbuilt84

You can lay a few beads on the male side and grind them down so there is a snug fit between the two pieces of drive-shaft. This should get rid of some of the slop causing the noise.

Brandon505

Ok. im guessing length ways. Not around the end of the square.

like the bottom one?

Toy-Cra-Ze

Nice lookin rig real clean and cool color!

yotatough

I greased mine and almost never hear it now...   I just pulled it apart, smothered it and packed the larger hole with a big handfull, no more clackity clack....

Yeah, the bottom one. Do a little research too, I'm sure there are a few threads out there that cover the same problem.

Get on craigs list and find a new one off some stock toyota, if its to short then just cut it and lengthen it.

Mytattootears

That is nice, hope mine gets to that point. Besides the bobbed bed. But I might just steal that paint job :)

Brandon505

Ive got bigger problems than a front driveline at the moment. the spline that comes out of the T-Case is missing a piece and the part where it slides into on the tranny is missing a hudge chunk of out it.

Brandon505

ya im about to post the picture of the t-case, havnt dropped tranny yet.

Brandon505

u can barley see it. but its broke on that spline.
