This is how I think we should divide CA, a la State of Jefferson. However much of OR wants to join up north can glady break off of OR with us. The red line is the preffered cut off point, but the blue line would also work for me.  :gap:

I love everything about living in California expect the politics. That and the high cost of living, but I've never really had it any other way so I'm used to it. I would like to see the state split. Let SF and LA run THEIR state into the ground. Nor Cal has everything it needs to be self-sufficient, including a majority of people with that kind of mindset. I spent a lot of time traveling up and down California in my last job, and So Cal and Nor Cal really are two different states in my eyes.

I think every Californian, on the right, that wants to get out...should get together with his like minded neighbors and head east.
Or north... as a fifth-generation native-born Oregonian, I reserve the right to go back home if I wish.  :yesnod:

Stocker...I've always loved the Maggie quote. The second one sounds like a take off on a Ronaldus quote...who is it attributed too?

I think my version is better. We can't let So Cal have the Rubicon and Fordyce... :gap:

I just looked it up...it is attributed to Larry Kersten.

It sounds like it's from a "demotivational" type series.

"Cluelessness - There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots."

Another;

"CONSULTING: If you're not a part of the solution, there's good money to be made in prolonging the problem."

A take on Nietzsche's famous quote;

"Adversity - That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable."

That's true. There are at least a couple different maps for a proposed State of Jefferson. The general idea (which has been around a long time) is to create a state independent of the geopolitical powerhouses of central & southern California and of northwestern Oregon.
