4.3 question

ok so I picked up a 95 s10 blazer with a good running 4.3. I have taken my time and pulled the engine out with the entire wiring harness and not having to cut a wire. now the question. what on the engine can i eliminate? If i have to hook the entire thing back up i think I am just going to sell it and buy an old camaro multi port 350. that thing is a P.I.T.A. to pull. so if someone could shed some light on this it would be great.

alldataspecs.com will give diagrams on what you want to keep wiring wise

Its not a big deal, 5 wires make it run, another 10 make everything else run.   :thumbs:

What motor are you putting in ? TBI, TPI or CPI ?.  Was the donor an Auto or Manual ?  What tranny are you going to use ? What state are you in ? and do you plan on smogging it ?  PM me your email address and I'll forward you the manual and pinouts.

it is out of a 95 auto thinking staying with the auto. i am in utah with no worries of needing smoging.

i am currently in the process of a frame off resto on my 1983 pickup and have no engine. i have a marlin dual case setup mated to a well built TH350.  i am thinkin of putting in the 4.3 outa a s-10 as i have a 1998 and love the motor.  I am curiouse about the wiring issues and what it takes to actuall get this thing into my truck as i have not dun this kinda swap before.  still gota find a engine for it as i need my s-10 but wondering what i`m getting myself into hear.  better to get one from a perticular yea?r, auto or standard truck?, tbi, tpi, cpi? is one better than the other?
