95 4x4 3.0v6 skipping? spark plug wires? vacuum line?

drove to get some food tonight about 2 minutes into the trip 3rd gear i pressed the throttle and it was skipping. i have no idea what couldve happened? it skipped/missed all the way home. i put new plugs and wires in about 3years ago and thats all ive done. any ideas what this could be? or why it happened?

Check the plugs and wires anyway.  Same thing happened on another truck of mine.  The number 4 plug wire that was less than 2 years old went sour.  Really pissed me off.

3.0...hmmm.  might want to do a quick check of your coolant and oil just to make sure you didn't lose a head gasket.

Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

waters good oil is good too. it doesnt smoke or run hot it runs fine at 55mph 5th gear on the inerstate but low rpms it sucks, i put a wire in the diagnostic box tonight and turned the switch on and the cruise control light just flashed?! i did it about four times and no check engine light flashed just the cruise light repeatedly.......

is it a steady flash, or does it flash in intervals? example, 4 quick flashes, slight pause, 3 quick flashes, long pause, then starts over again?  or steady quick flashes with no long pauses?

thats normal.  means you don't have any trouble codes.  check your plugs/cap/rotor/wires.  don't know what else to check. :dunno:

Mine has missed a few times in the past, once it was a hairline crack in the cap, and the other time it was one corroded spark plug.
1985 toyota SR5, 22re,  5.29's locked front and rear, duals with twin stick, longfields.
