Real bummer about your truck CrazyKooter.  Just reading your posts from the past, I definitely could sense how much you especially loved clean 1st Gen trucks.  I would have liked to have seen your truck up close since I dig them and have one myself.

Glad you and your dog are Okay or at least that you're healing.

I'm scratching my head to know how someone you're not wheeling with (or someone you don't know) gets close enough to your rig and rear ends you.  That's not cool.  At MCR-8, I remember a one maybe two hour plus bumper to bumper stand-still of trucks all the way down Big Sluice on Saturday afternoon where people were pretty close to each other, but as slow as trail's pace can be at such an event, I still wonder how person hits you like that?  On behalf of all of the white 4Runner owners who did NOT run into you, I wish you would have called that guy out and asked him for an apology.  No one likes hearing a story like this.

crazykooter  man it sucks enough to roll your rig because of a wrong line, but to be ran into as well which most likley caused the roll,,, thats just   :bull crap: .....   There were quite a few rigs trying to, and some were racing passed our group as if there going to get there any faster when there were a hundred or so rigs in front of us....  :shake_head:

Anyway hopefully someday these people will learn some trail etiquette....

Yeah Peps, thats the Oscar I know.  The last time I saw Oscar's rig is was dark purple, but I remember when it had a different body and it was that funky copper color.  I've known him since he was a parts driver at El Cajon Lexus.  Now he's in parts at the Kearny Mesa dealer I used to work at.  I'm not sure if you've met the other guys he goes wheeling with like Bernie or O.G (Eric).  I went to toyota school with Bernie and worked with him and O.G. for a while too.  In fact, O.G. built my 3rd members for me.

Ha Ha that's awesome bro . Don't know the two guys you mentioned , only Oscar and Danny .

One of these days I'll be wheeling with them - once my '85 is done.  I'm shooting for Thanksgiving weekend at Truckhaven for a shakedown run.  I have a lot of time off right now to get things done on the truck - I just hope I have enough money to do it all.  Anyone willing to trade some new PRP wide boys for some 30 spline longfields?

Yeah I remember that, LA traffic on the con  :gap:

I don't get how that could have happened either. Pretty rude of the other driver especially if they didn't even appologize.

When I looked back after he hit me he did say he was sorry.  It wouldnt have bothered me if I wasnt trying to get into position so I wouldnt flop.  Either or its over now.  Tho I had to use my truck to run to the store and uggg what a mess.  Its time to get a new body or swap over to a whole diff truck.

It's because some A-holes get in a real big hurry and don't give you any room and ride up on other peoples :moon:  I don't know why people are in such a big hurry while wheeling. Some guy in a no door green yota kept almost rear ending my buddy behind me right after that 6 hour traffic jam on Friday.

Yeah, never understood the impatient wheelers. For me wheeling is all about taking it slow. Literally. When that big traffic jam happened at MCR8 I just used it as an excuse to check everything on my rig and drink a beer. Turned out both my axle drain plugs were about to fall out and a few other things were loose too. No need to hurry when you are wheeling...
