BUDDERS

Lilbuddy, where did that 1st gen Runner in your group flop?  Is that guy from San Diego, cause it looks like my friend Oscar's rig.

Got to the trail at like 1 friday. Wheeled till about 630 to the box. stayed the night there. wheeled to the springs around 1030 or so and got there around 5 ish. just hung out at our camp over by the wall and woke up at 7 ish and left around 830.

Didnt really see anyone expect people i anticipated seeing and people who i was already with. In fact, i saw no one else on the trail that I knew.

I wanna go again soon. Probably fordyce instead

Huge thanks go to Christine, Marlin and the Marlin Crawler Crew for hosting the best event yet!!!  My family had the greatest time.   Thank you again for your generosity, and my hat's off to you for the superlative example of stewardship to the Rubicon Trail!  The success of the event is amazing.

Oscar Chaves ? , Good friend of mine dude . Kinda thinking that's who you're talking about because his rig (Baja Toy) looks similar , except Oscar's is on KM2s and Slabs' is on Krawlers .

You guys missed out on my fun.  :rivers:  I flopped my truck and did some nice damage to it.   Made for a fun drive home since I broke a front shackle and shattered my drivers window.  Was really lucky it didnt take out my windshield.   Up until the flop I was having fun.    :smack:

Here is one of the few pics I got flexing out my rig.  It handled the rocks great with the e locker up front.  Really need hydro assist tho.

Jrock when ya get a chance post a few pics you took of my rig.

superyota

where did you flop it?  glad to hear you made it home o.k.

Yeah Peps, thats the Oscar I know.  The last time I saw Oscar's rig is was dark purple, but I remember when it had a different body and it was that funky copper color.  I've known him since he was a parts driver at El Cajon Lexus.  Now he's in parts at the Kearny Mesa dealer I used to work at.  I'm not sure if you've met the other guys he goes wheeling with like Bernie or O.G (Eric).  I went to toyota school with Bernie and worked with him and O.G. for a while too.  In fact, O.G. built my 3rd members for me.

It flopped pretty near where that land cruiser broke a front knuckle.   I was tryin to get lined up so my left front tire would be on top of a rock so it would lean right.  As I was setting up for it some guy in a white 4runner ran into me.  I was sitting still so I have no idea why he hit me.  Guess it broke my concentration enough for me to not get on the right line.  Either or its my fault I rolled it but it just keeps bugging me thinking that if he hadnt hit my rear shackles I might have made it.  I just have a ton of work to do now.  I need both new front fenders and a new drivers side door.   If I fix those then the rest can wait.   I do know now I plan to put an exo on it if I decide to repair it.   I might just swap everything over to my 79 and then exo that.   Just dont have the money for the tubing atm.
What really sucks now is that I am SOOOOOO frickin sore.  When it rolled I grabbed my dog and I took all the abuse.  She like my kid so.

jrock

Sad to hear about your roll Kooter :( It was a clean truck.
