Where do I start..

I have been working on this one for 14 years so it is pretty much all gone through time and time again.

This truck has never been towed, it has been driven to the hammers, moab, and many many rubicon/fordyce/barrett trips. It was driven to Canada and back for the island rock crawl but that was back in 2000. Currently it gets me to work and has a charging issue. Other than the rear ebrake needing to be hooked up (it's there) there really aren't any problems.

Tons of pics here:
http://rcrc4x4.com/mambo/index.php?set_albumName=MoPower&option=com_gallery&Itemid=43&include=view_album.php

I'll post a few..

Interior:  Seats are custom upholstered and the "covers" are removable and can be thrown in the washing machine. All autometer gauges, mojave heater, 8 speaker stereo system (2 10's, 2 6x9's, 2 tweeters, and 2 4" speakers), herculined floors, grant wheel, custom center console and modified in cab roll cage:

Engine:  HO 302 w/Northern aluminum radiator and spal electric fan, modified mustang headers, mustang in-tank fuel pump in the toy EFI tank Engine has Saginaw steering pump, 180 amp 3G alternator, BBK intake, FlowKooler hi-flow water pump, stainless rad hoses, Competition Cams Timing set, ARP bolts and studs, etc.. I have been driving it to work daily and the cooling works great, no fan needed at all unless your sitting for a while and the spal fan quickly cools it right back down. It has passed smog twice now - no problems either time (the 4 banger was NEVER that easy!!). I had the heads redone last summer when I put in new headgaskets, the ARP studs, and the phenolic spacer. True dual exhaust with crossover and new cats.

Frame custom modified for the larger radiator and 44044 springs

The truck is convertible and with the top on it sits in my driveway and has kept dry all winter.

Goes from

to

Axles: Front HP HD 44 w/6 lug outers and lock right, Rear disk 35 spline moser shafted HD D60

Rear ebrake 60:

Drivetrain/Clutch - NP435/dual 23 spline toy tcases, TLC slave & MC
Suspension - front: wagoneer springs and 9012's, rear: stock wagoneers and 5012's

This is from last summer (I have not broken any of the running gear since I put it in with 2 rubicon and one Fordyce run not bypassing anything - more of the rubicon pics up at offroadimage.com):

I could make this post pages and pages long but if your interest or just have questions shoot me an email at [email protected]

The best thing is how well this truck drives, it cruises at 80 mph and there is no steering stabizer. The steering wheel is smooth and you can let go of the wheel.. and hit the brakes.

$1200 as is with the 8274 full stereo system tool box, yellow top etc. I'm willing to work partial sells as well and eventually I will have the body and frame left if nobody buys it which would be a perfect starter - just bolt on your goods. It stilla accepts all the stock stuff (other than the steering box) right down to the axles, and 22r (stock mounts are still there). It's registered and current (driven daily)

As mentioned above the only issue really is some charging issue. I can still drive it daily but if I stop for gas it doesn't want to start - like a dead battery. BUT if it sits for a bit it always fires right up. Starter must be getting hot but oddly it didn't do this a while back, could be alternator but I don't have to ever charge the battery and it always gets me to work and home - odd..

I've been noticing good deals on 5.0's lately which is why I am considering selling my truck whole - I'm starting a new project so if it doesn't sell I will use most of the parts and I will keep this thread updated..

I assume you meant to have another "0" in there...like $12,000 not $1200.  If $1200, how would you like the cash and where are you located...if it is actually 12k, I would still like to know where you are located...Bob

DAMN!  I thought I'd stumbled on the deal of the century  :hammerhead:   12K seems very reasonable for such a nice rig.  I'll spread the word out here in New Mexico.

'87 Supra, 400 HP.  smooth as glass at 130 'cause my tires are NEW!...

It has a lot of time and fabrication not to mention $$ into it. I can't blame anyone for not making an offer ($$$) but I figured I'd try. I will be using the parts for my next project so before long I'll part out the frame/body etc for a much more reasonable offer and someone could then bolt on all the goodies to save some money.

ok, I want to start in on my next project but this one has to be gone first. I have allready got an offer for the nerf bars and the flatbed. I would really like to find someone to atleast buy the complete cab and chassis less any suspension. I'd be willing to leave all the gauges and wiring in there so all you have to do is add your engine and running gear, bolt on some springs and attach some axles. You'd get a tubbed convertible truck that has been trail and road tested over and over..

Come on, let's make a deal ;)

If nothing else if anyone is interested in the parts make me an offer (custom dash, all the gauges, tilt wheel, cab or atleast parts of it including the topless kit pieces, front bumper, seats with custom upholstry (professional), doors with custom panels, full in cab cage, hood with hood pins and hood pin brackets if someone doesn't want the whole cab, caddy air compressors, EFI tank, etc etc etc

For the winch and bumper I'm gonna say trade for new winch - simply because the 8274 kicks a$$ and I don't NEED to get rid of it and I can reuse it but if I do then I need a replacement, $200 for the bumper alone unless 83yota wants to take the whole enchilada  :eyebrow: .

For the cab and chassis it depends on if you want anything with it such as the gauges, flatbed, bumper, nerf bars, seats, stereo system, etc..

Although I am in no rush to sell anything since it is still 100% drivable I would like to sell the C&C first in order to get me motivated to start my next project (and to give me the room!)

$2000 OR BEST OFFER

Modified frame to fit IFS steering box, aluminum radiator, wagoneer springs front and rear (those are not included).

Modified cab - convertible kit, cab is tubbed for more tire clearance and the tubbed parts are plexiglass. Custom dash (no gauges but for a lil more I'll throw em all in along with all the wiring to simply bolt and plug in a 5.0). Custom upholstered bucket seats with matching upholstry on the doors. You get door inserts for the summer with 6x9 holes for speakers in them. Full in cab roll cage with overhead "cb bar" and front "oh :pokinit:" bar. Mounts for a front aluminum radiator included. I have the parts to put a/c back in if you want as well as the factory heater and ducting etc. I have some spare "cab sides" if you want to repair the dents on the one side. I also have a complete spare passenger door. I'll leave the wiring in tact with the switches on the dash and I'll leave the rock lights etc. If your really interested come see it and check it out over pizza or something. I have access to a trailer and I could possibly deliver..

It will otherwise be stripped, but if you want any of the other stuff let's deal ;)

Registration is current, in fact it's still being driven. It is solid at 80+ mph on the highway and has been runing the toughest trails for the past nearly 15 years so it is trail proven,  NEVER towed to the trail...

I'll even throw in these speakers so the doors are as you see here..

Here is the dash, and if you want for a few more bucks I can throw in all the gauges - autometer phantom series but they will be prewired..

mojave heater brackets (heater not included unless ya wanna pay for it..)

Front of the frame is beefed up nearly 1/2" all the way around and widened where the rad goes

Notice the place where the lower radiator neck/hose fits nicely..

Also notice the 2" lift blocks, you get them too.

Hangers fully gussted

cab tubbed and a metal frame for full support was welded in, the plexiglass bolts to that..

You get the bracket for the bikini top but I'm keepin the top (I could be bribed for a few bucks..)

You get all the convertible stuff

high clearance rear crossmember

Here are the summer door inserts. I have NEVER been pulled over for anything and it has been daily highway and city street driven.

Door inserts and the seats

Hood pin brackets (these aren't cheap kragen chromies, these are the poly ones that the desert racers use)

I have a ton of extra parts to go with it too, stuff like all the ac components, the stock heater and ducting, spare trim pieces, EFI fuel pump, etc etc..
