Hmmm, is my speedo gone forever?
« on: Aug 16, 2010, 12:35:56 PM »
Hey guys, I have a 93 pickup with a sbf and NP435 mated to a topshift tcase. My truck originally had the electronic (no cable) speedo on the tcase. Now I have a provision for a cable, but I am assuming I dont have a hookup in the cluster. I have a handheld gps mounted to the dash which I can use for a speedo, but I was just wondering how screwed I am?

Simple fix or totally screwed?

looks liek you would have to get a vss and then see if it would be compatible with running off your tcase

sounds liek you are pretty hosed though as you dont have naything original left but the cluster..... unless you changed your cluster... if that is possible.....

So I guess the next best question is has anyone ever put a VSS on a topshift case?  :attention:

You could always use a gauge cluster from a 89-91.  They still were cable driven.
