as you might know i bent my valves and had to have #1 and 4 intake replaced... i bolted everything together and the compression is around 20-30 psi lower....... does it take time for them to get seated and fully seal up the valve???  :beerchug:

did you only swap valves or did you have the head fixed right.
if you had a bent valve and didnt cut the seats then they are wrong.

run a leak down and see whats going on.
hold this. . .

i had it done at a shop down my street...... i told him the situation... #1 and #4 got bent ect... got new valves and everything...... so there isnt a possibility that the valves need to seat in????? damn !!!!! #1 and 4 is 150-160 and #2-3 are around 175-180

Ok, missunder stud ya. got ahead of myself. what ya need to do is as Hyna said, do a CLT. (cyl. leakage test) that will tell ya where the air is going out of the cyl. at. could be rings. if it's valves still, take it back to the shop and tell them to get it right.

nower day valves don't need to "seat" in. thay should be sealing when the head leaves the shop.

well there is that percentige scale   as long as there so many % as the other cyl there ok.
me personl I like everything realy close.

1.  how dose it run?
2. is the shop shady? (and i don't mean that tree hanging over head)
3. did the head get warped? holes egged? seals replaced?
4. was the job done right? ( see #3&4)

dude!!! i want to burn my truck!!!!! im running into problem after problem...... i have gone through 3 head gaskets so far in doin the timing chain... first the chain cover broke... had to replace that along with another head gasket..... then the valves get bent... then when bolting it back together a stud rips out.. bam theres another 45 buck gasket..... so far 120 bux in head gaskets..... its a newer engine.. 10-15 k on it... its not running right now... still gotta hook up the intake manifold... but looks like im not doin that for a while..... i checked the head for warpage but it was fine!!! so you guys really think its not the valves needing to be run in the engine for a bit to seat??? :pokinit:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldnt worry about it.  Get it running first then worry about  it IF it runs strangely.  If all seams fine jus tdrive it.
