Hello all,

Just posting a "hello" thread from overseas.  I'm a lurking member of Yotatech and Expedition Portal forums, however, I finally made my way over to these forums after hearing it was a great place to learn about engine swaps.

So, what do I drive?  I have an '89 4Runner 22RE, 5spd DeLuxe.  It is in extremely rough condition, however, it was a steal at $1500.  It is completely stock and worn out.  Initial prospects are to install an Aussie locker (or similar) and refresh the suspension (OME possibly).  Swapping in a different engine may be a possibility as well since the little 22RE is a bit anemic nowadays.  I would post photos, however, I do not have any on this computer as I am currently deployed to Afghanistan.

Well, just wanted to say a quick hello and introduce me and my truck.  Look forward to learning from all of you old-timers on the boards here.

regards,
Joel

Thanks!  I just realized that there is an actual "new members" forum...derrr   :hammerhead:.  So, I guess if a moderator wants to move this to that section then that would be much appreciated.
