Australian Crawler noob
« on: Jul 18, 2010, 02:45:01 AM »
G'day From Australia,

Names Jason, and I'm a noob at rock crawling but am very interested in the sport. I'm in the progress of modifying my ausy delivered hilux to start partaking in the art of crawling.

My current ride is an 1997 RN110 Xtra cab SR5 trayback, powered by an uber gutless 22r. So far the mods Ive done consist of:

2' tray lift
Torsion bar lift
ARB winch bar
HID headlights, spotties and LED tail lights
15x8' steelies with 32' BF Mud terrains
UHF, bit of stereo etc
Rear spotlights mounted under tray

Ive ordered a set of 35' Goodyear Wrangler MT-R's n they should be here next week, after them ill be fitting a 2' rear lift kit + extended shackes as-well as Heavy duty torsion bars, Id like to keep the IFS front so am gonna use a set of 1.5' diff/ball joint spacers.

If you have any idea's for my truck please feel free to holla :P

Cheers
Aussie Crawling Noob

Thanks guys.

Just put in my 2' body lift, looks heaps better, shame the bumper sits like a saggy anus :P. thinkn bout either making a tube bumper or getting one of the marlin bumpers, not sure if they allow for the 2' body lift though?
