Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2ndAmendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

It absolutely does give citizens the right to posess firarms.   This was made the 2nd amendment behind free speach for a reason.  They had just fought a bitter and deadly war to free themselves from an opressive government and they wanted to make sure the people would always be able to defend themselves against such a government.  

Like Ted Nugent said, and i'm paraphrasing here, "even without a document (US constitution), free men have a god given right to defend their gift of life by whatever means necessary...period!"

The Obama's, Holder's , Pelosi's etc of the world would like you to think that by making them illegal to posess that somehow all crime would cease and all the guns would magically disappear.   The fact of the matter is that if they were outlawed, only law abiding citizens would no longer own them.  The criminals of the world still would have them.  Take drugs for instance.  Weed, Cocaine, heroin, etc have been illegal in this country for decades and there is still plenty of it here in this country posessed by the criminals of the world.

the constitution enumerates those rights that are essential for the people to keep the government under control (doesnt seem to have worked too well sadly)

anyway the supreme court has now officially stated the 2nd ammendment does apply to individuals.. mr mcdonald should get a medal!
