Several years ago, there was a way to get from Big Bear all the way to Lake Arrowhead on back roads. Think you had to go thru Fawn Skin, towards Green Valley and then towards lake Arrowhead. It's been 10-15 years since i was there, so not sure what it's like now, but it was fairly gnarly back then. have a great time. Wish i could go, but it's an 6-8 hour trip just to get to So. Cal for me now.

Unfortunately I don't drink and I already have a girlfriend so now you can see why I don't want to go to the weddings. I'd rather  :hammerhead:  than go.

After they closed LCIR , Big Bear and Arrowhead are the closest thing for me . about 1 1/2 hrs.
The trail from Arrowhead to John Bull was open the last time I was out there. A while ago.

Germ... There is now a bridge at the Deep Creek crossing, but I believe you can still get all the way to Big Bear.

Wraith... If you are planning to go this weekend, the 14th and 15th, I have a side job scheduled but if it falls off, Ill go.
