ive been to tillamook, its a cool place i stopped there when i was driving the coast and im from everett. the 84 is in decent shape and its mildly built. its on 35's and its been regeared to 5.29, he says it has an 8in lift but if you look at it it looks like its 4in i guess that could just be the spings worn out though, and its been longblocked and had the clutch replaced. the only thing im semi concearned about is he said its an efi block that was turned into a carbed engine. he said proper block off plates were installed but im still a little skeptical. thoughts?

on a sidenote there is no rust on the body, i scoured it for rust and it turned up clean.

no it hasnt had emissions in like 2 years. but its legal because its more than 25 years old. i lied, i went back and looked at the 84 again and found some rust on the door frame on the drivers side.

so after much thought ive decided do go with a 4runner instead of the 84. ive heard people talke about swapping a 5vz into the runner in place of the 3vz. how practical is this?

i love mine. 87 4runner with a 5vz.
the swap was done by my brother in law before i got into the family. never really talked to him about how it went. just know he had a hell of a time finiding a wiring harness. he used the engine tranny and tcase from a rolled t100. when i got a hold of it and decided to turn it into a rockcrawler i just changed it out to a set of dual cases. LOTS of power. "smoke a set of 39.5 in iroks" type of power.

oh and hello from leftern slope CO who used to live in WA
11C's. We are snipers too, just with bigger bullets.
87 4runner- 3.4L, ARB f&r, 5.29, longs, 39.5in IROKS, duals with a 4.7, body and topper bob'd 11in, way too much lift, and an extremely high credit card parts bill!
