Official deck staining sucks thread!
« on: Jul 06, 2010, 03:33:02 PM »
Time to powerwash and stain the deck.......AGAIN  :thud:

This job sucks.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I use an oil based product by Cabot.  I only lasts a couple of years in the high traffic areas.  I wish I could find a clear tint product that would last longer.

I've had a lot of luck with a product call Flood-Pro. It's sold at Dunn Edwards. Don't know if you can get it in your area, they stopped selling it in mine.

They have that brand at my local farm supply store.  I may give it a try.

I do a lot of decks, I used oil base flood-pro on a bunch of places. It really lasts a long time.
