Topic: 1985 4runner paint code or color match

In the process of getting ready to freshen up the paint on my 85 4runner. Does anyone know the exact color of this paint(original paint) or a paint code so i can paint it the same color again. It looks to be some sort of off-white color.

Have the paint color matched to something like the door jam that isn't faded and generally beat to heck.  Mixing the color per the color code, which by the way should be on the firewall, is for lack of a better term "generic".  In other words, the color a paint shop mixes would be a close approximation, but will never match what was on there originally.  By the way in case you didn't know most paint shops can match the color and package it in spray cans.  Handy for fixing trail damage etc.  You usually have to buy a minimum such as a pint that around here translates to three rattle cans.

also remember, I dont know about then but now, there are things called variations. Take for example the dodge paint code W7= bright white. but in that code there are 3 variations true white, one with yellow (makes it a little more suddle) and one with blue (makes it pop) and all of those are for Dodge W7

I am debating painting it a bright white or repaint the factory color code. I really like the bright white but then the door jams and stuff wont quite match so the original code may be the easiest.
