guess you got your answer.... but is it the one you wanted???  :dunno: imo if you wanted something that was the same strength as d44s you would get the chromoly  um07 marfield joints, but for front axle torture wheeling in the pit of hell call longs!   :therethere:

Long for sure, I have never ran them myself. i have always had d44s or tons. But bobby is the man. have met him in person and have seen many of people get help with them longs from him.  He is a man of his word and makes the best damn toy axles on the planet.!

My buddy got all gung ho about the D44 eliminator kit. After 3 years of constantly breaking ujoints while none of us were even breaking stock birffields, I am going to have to go with the general consensus on this one. Longfields all the way. If you've got a D44, great. If you've got a Toyota axle, no reason to downgrade when for a couple hundred more you could get Longs.

Depends on what tire size and what engine you are running.  I have the Marlin um-07 and beat them pretty good, never let me down.  If you wheel HARD get the Longs.  D44 joints are pretty weak IMHO in the rocks.  Look

in my trucks defence, I think even a stock birf woulda popped right there in the bind I was in.

I have had both longs and eliminator kit.  eliminator kit sucks for tires bigger than 35.  I broke several elim axles in areas that werent even that bad, and thats when I was on 37's.  I am now on 40's running 27 spline longs on stock inner axles and havnt had any problems.  Go with Longs!

For the money Eliminators are a good buy as long as you put good joints in them my buddy has been runnin them for 5yrs he has had to change the u joints out about once a year. He was running 36sx's at first then bought a buggy and ran 38.5 sx's for a year now he has been running  39.5Irocs for almost a year. I would say if you arent very throttle happy Eliminators are ok here is one vid of his buggy on 38.5s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4Qp5ckCiM8   He has broke one stub shaft with the 39.5s but Yukon warranted it! I run 30 spline longs because they were in my axle when I bought the buggy and I am very throttle happy and havent had any problems. Just my experience with the two!
