Help on Radial Iroks
« on: Jun 11, 2010, 11:15:05 PM »
OK guys, IMO I love the look of Iroks and their capability off road.  Although I hear alot about them wearing out on the road for a daily driver.  Now I know this is true in the bias ply tires, but I wanna hear people who runs the radial on the road as a daily driver.  Now Im not talking about 15 miles aday I am talking about some seriouse daily driving like 50 to 60+ miles aday how are they? Do they wear just like the bias ply?  I know they arent comparable to bias ply but theyll do so let me know your experience with radial Iroks.

x3 I ran mine lilterly 3 miles a day to work and back. I noticed a differnce with in 3 months of driving. They were bias but still. Iroks are the most aggresive tire you can get next to rockers.

IMHO Radial iroks are worthless turds. I have run damn near every tire on the market and the 37 14 17 isuk radials were the worst tire all around. The bias are a bit better in the rocks, but they are both terrible on the road. I just sold my iroks and went back to 35in km2's and my truck no longer drives like a radio flyer wagon. Iroks are worthless when wet and pointless to drive on the road. Only good thing i have to say about them is that they are tough as nails. Never had a flat and never carried a spare.

I cant say enough about how good km2's work for what I do, mostly highway miles, lots of crawlin, dry and wet rock, and whatever else looks fun to drive over. Km2's suck in the snow, but are decent in mud. Sidewall thickness is the only downfall, but carry a spare and get the road hazard warranty and they are the best tire out there for long life and best traction.
