bfg mud t/a or radial claws??

curious on tires for mostly mud use and some rocks and sand. radial claws or bfg muds. does anyone know the milage when they start to wear out?? thanks.

I dont like either tire but claws wear like total crap thats a fact.  BFG's will last a long time on the road.

Uh, I've had my claws for a year and I haven't even noticed any wear in the back.  My front tires are worn to , I'm out of alignment, and out of adjustment.

M/T's wear like , and handle like in the rain.

I said it in my first post smart guy, I'm out of adjustment.  I can't get my truck anymore aligned than it already is.  That would be thanks to landing it in a ditch.

you can rotate your tires on the trail if you wanted too      i'm not getting where you are "out of adjustment"   is the tierod bent??  J arm look like a C    the bigger the tires the easier it is to get alignment perfect

Ok lemme get this straight.  You drove your rig into a ditch and screwed up the front end thus throwing it off alignment badly.  Your shop burned down so you cant rotate your tires.  Sounds like 1. you cant drive.  2. you are bad at coming up with good excuses.  3. you are a tool that cant use tools so you deserve to own crap tires.  Thanks for pointing out that Im a smart guy though.  I feel so much better about myself just knowing that you are in my fan club.

After losing a family legacy, almost losing my grandfather, losing hundreds of pictures, trophies, wallies, all inventory, 2 customer cars, all of our equipment/machinery...........getting my tires rotated is the least of my concerns.


Yeah, I'm a tool who can't use tools.  Gosh, I must really not deserve those NHRA Best Engineering awards I have then.....

I have lost 2 shops due to fire so dont act like you are the only person that has ever had huge setbacks and lost customer cars in the damage.  You are not special whether you think you are or not.  Now your maturity level (or lack there of) is showed by you bringing my family's death into this.  That is truely uncalled for as I have not, nor will I ever bring anyones family into my getting butt hurt over what someone typed on the interweb.  You can be pissed off at me all you like I really dont care, I will still sleep well at night even though you dont like me believe it or not.

BFG all the way, tighter tread design so less dd noise!  Claws howl like a sob on road!  Bfg used to put a 50,000 mileage warranty on their tires, not sure if they still do it!  I'm not a fan of directional tires,  I've known alot of guys running them to actually run the fronts backwards, so when stuck into mud, you can actually try to back out!

As for Rebel, that's what insurance is for!!  As for your attitude toward WT, that's NOT cool!!  After being on this site for quite some time, you should have expected WT's comment from anybody!!

There wasn't nearly enough on the policy.  Enough to rebuild bigger, replace all customer belongings, but not enough for brand spanking new lathes and all the inventory we had.  Hell, we had a couple set of rotors that were $4,500 a piece, just to put things into perspective.

WT, I'm sorry about the comment on your family, that WAS totally uncalled for on my part.  You could have left it at what I said, instead of trying to make it personal.  You were just as wrong as I was.

As for BFG's being quieter.....my old BFGs absolutely howled going down the road.  With my Radial Claws I get a tiny hum, I don't even hear it over the exhaust.

have you heard of the Interco TRxUS MT?  i have had mine for a few months in a 33x12.50x15.  they are awesome.  6 ply radial.  awesome side wall treads.  drive up and grip every rock.  work great in snow and mud.  they are much better then the 32x11.5x15 bfg mud km's i used to run.  and are about $20 less per tire then the bfg's!

i put about 1000 miles on them a month.  i have a lincoln locker as well.  so far they are wearing really good.  i've had them since february.  with my supra motor i can throw some pretty sweet rooster tales with them!

I've got a detroit, but I need something I can have last a long time, as I do a lot of freeway, and it is my DD.  wrangler MTRs have held up really well for me so far

I have  33 BFG muds  and i love them. 
Mud/sugar sand & snow tested   no rocks tho.

There noise   but thats because my lazy ass never rotated them  and my alinement's is not true.  IF u keep them rotated/aliened   you should have no problems.

Any problems keeping them balanced? I know a couple of folks that ran them and liked 'em, except that they were hard to balance and had to be re-balanced often.

the guy i had mount and balance them was a moron.  so i decided i wanted to try out the BB's in the tire thing.  i put about 8 onces in each tire and now they are really smooth
