I got one better. today I bent my New MC rear bumper. 2 time in 3 runs with it on. MC will be getting a call tomorrow morning... Not too happy.

Those hoops were like that when I got the truck; kid said he "knew how to weld"... apparently not, eh? I'm going to patch the holes in the frame AND plate the hoop area for extra stability/support. Both sides too, not just that one.

Hey 86rustbucket; how much did you chop out of the fenders? Our trucks are about identical... 'cept you still have a bed and cool graphics on your doors:

Yes the sliders are chrome; ask Suz about that...

Plus I want your shocks.

Doesn't matter how competent a welder he was, the frame isn't structurally sound enough or designed to have something small welded there if it'll have substantial force applied to it. You simply have to plate the frame, no matter how good you weld.

Did we all break something this weekend dang. Went out for an easy trip to the woods. Brought the Fly Rod and kayak to relax. Ended up meeting two runners in the middle of nowhere and they were heading up to Olalie lake through the snow, "wanna join us?" i reply "im pretty sure i do!". Some fun snow with a couple really cool guys from Albany area.

Made it to the lake, it looked so nice, no fishing, no boating, it was frozen. (Mt. Jefferson in the background)

Had a blast! Truck ran awesome. On the way out and in the snow for the most part.

Next day as we were leaving for Detroit Lake for the day I come to the realization that my motor runs but isn't happy.....

2slow4you I would not be either. Thats a lil interesting. What did you hit on? It makes no sence because your rigs not bashed up like you slammin rocks. I'm pretty sure they will fix that right up for you.

That sucks on every ones breaking stuff. I also had to work this weekend. Woot Woot for a 50 hour week though.

yerp and supports ive tore plates off too the torsional pull that is on it will still peel the frame without some tubing going from the upper part of the hoop down to the top of the frame

i just beat the crap out of the crease in the firewall to flatten it out then i trimmed so the fender was behind that then i cut about an inch from the wheel opening

I don't have any pics, but I managed to get out and do some wheeling this weekend without breaking anything (except if you count all the holes in the cans and deadfalls where we went shooting). Was good to just get out and enjoy the outdoors for a while. Sorry to see everyone so-far has broken something.

How was the Poker run up there? I have gone every year except this one. Too many drunk dudes in one area for my liking. Lets hit up Jose Basin sooner than later, before the heat comes.

I skipped the poker run and just went on sunday. It was my first time ever wheeling jose basin and it was pretty cool. I am down for another trip up there whenever, maybe i could gather the nerve to try 10 dollar hill after i seen someone else try it.

x2 on the beating the heat thing, i'd say lets shoot for the next 2 weeks or so cause it was already pretty warm up there
