:welcome: :welcome:i started my build with an 84 extra cab with 33's stuffed in with drop shackles and blocks in the front. so i got a trail-gear 5'' lift. bilstiens all around, long spline front driveline, 37" wrangler mtr's on black 15x8 steelies, 1.5" wheel spacers. spencer doodle hooked up a custom rear shock tower for the 14" bilstiens 5150's, high steer, ifs box

This is me on the right and my buddy donnie on the left starting in on the beginning stages of my build. starting on getting rid of all the rust. it was sitting in a field, and sat by the coast for a while so there was alot of frame rust, but no permanent damage

RUST BUCKET!!!!!!

i plan on dual cases, rear disc brakes, v6 calipers and rotors in front, rock sliders front and rear bumpers, exo-cage, line lock, and winch. thats it for now but definitely propane injection when its not my dd.

right when we finished the lift, CLEAN!!!

thanks guys, ya i know all about trail-gear.i started my lift before i knew about the materials trail-gear uses, but only my hardware came from them. i know about the china bearing, so when i do dual cases or adapters im definitely goin through marlin crawler.

Looks good, nice rig. What did you for the rust on the frame? Trying to build up my 84.

Looks good  other than the front crossmember. I personally would have decreased the gap between it and the frame. Needs more attatchment points other than just at the ends and bracing on the backside would be good also.
Dirt is for wheelin not for wearin you filthy hippie!

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

thank you guys, the comments are great to hear. alot of hard work went into it. i used like this spongy sand paper on a drill tip for most rust. also since i last posted pics ive got both axles armored, chevy disc brakes in rear, spare tire, rock lights, kc slim highlights, and a new front bumper. in the process of building new rock sliders wit some square steel. ill keep posting new pics. thanks again guys.

I would say you need to get a piece of flat bar and weld it to the hanger and core support area.. It looks like you only welded the outside corners of the hanger.. I pulled my frame apart right in front of the steering box a while back so with that amount of tension it could pottentionally rip that hanger right off.. Thats my suggestion other than that, that thing looks good. I agree with swapped89 get  a rear bumper and some sliders on that thing asap or say bye bye to that clean bed and rockers.
