What could it be?    :)

Me and my pop's built this roughly about 15 years ago, it's been sitting for the past 5 or 6 years... all the seals need to be replaced but other then it drives great. Another project, I can't wait to get it back to it's original condition... won't take much.. just time and a little money. I know my pop's would be proud.

R.I.P to my Papa, I miss you pops......

That is absolutely beautiful! I'm jealous. Keep us up to date on the progress. I hope you are going to keep it all original. Too classic to chop/hot rod it.

What a beauty. I agree with germ on keeping it all original.

Plekto

I say keep it *mostly* original.

1 - get a modern flamethrower or whatever it's called point system.  Keep the original of course in case it ever gets sold or passed on.

2 - Do upgrade the brakes to modern equipment if possible.  Tires as well.  Again, originals in a box carefully stored somewhere.  Even modern drum brakes are far better than the originals.

3 - Do upgrade the wiring to the headlights and so on as well as obvious stuff like seat belts and more modern speakers and so on(obviously keep it 100% stock look of course)

These make great cars to restore. :)

This actually gives me motivation to work on the truckster, finally it's running again.

Plekto you make a good point, I do have plans to upgrade the brakes because they are horrible right now... besides the fact it's been sitting for so long definently doesnt help the situation.

Now the question is... who sales aftermarket/upgraded equipment for this car?

speedwaymotors.com has a lot of the older ford upgrade parts.  I'll swing by my parents place and check out a catalog my mom has of restoration/upgraded parts and get back to ya.

I love getting Speedway catalogs.  They got the coolest :pokinit:.  Order a catalog.  I just did.  More bathroom reading material.

A quick search yielded that Ford Granada front disc brakes fit.  Just google up some ford hotrod forums and pick those old timers brains.  I know alot of hot rodders tend to use the Mustang II front ends, and that is what a majority of the market is aimed at.
