Looks like this is going to turn out to be a cool project.... keep the pics coming
Have you measured the trans to see how it fits in ur truck. I was gonna put a W56 in my 1st gen and the transmission shifter was set back so far that my tcase shifters were hitting my seat. So far its looking sweet. Keep it up. I too wish I had a full blown shop to work at
Yeah, nice build so far and bob job....
i wish i could work on my toyota during work... i hate you. lol. tranny cleaned up good.
Tranny cleaned up really well. Looks good.
EFI works better out on the trail. But definately a lot more work to intstall EFI on a truck that came carbed. Nice work, reminds me of my old truck. I missed that stupid bolt hidden in the oil and mine wore a hole through the timing cover too. Good times. Lookin good
oh the old timing chin through the cover bs. ive seen JB weld used like bondo and metal chain guides installed. cheap permanent fix
Movin right along there rex. Nice to see another 1st gen being brought back to life and more. Wheelin season is getting close !!
Very Nice
I hope you plan on using a factory toyota head gasket since you're going to all this trouble! No sense in throwing junk in there and risking the inevitable Last time I lapped in my valves I tried the drill trick but found they cut in faster doing it by hand, which sucked for me cause I'm pretty lazy and was looking for the quicker way.
I run the Vatozone clutch. I have a warranty on it to so we can snag another 1 for free if you want. But, I have heard that the Downey clutch is the shiznit. I have never had an issue with mine, but to each their own.
pretty sure you have to run a carb dist too. coming along man.
