That is one of my favorite truck colors. I used to really like the blue/green that Pontiac painted the GTO's around 1966 or 67

This just happened last night!

My '87 MR2 just did this last Dec 29 but I missed it!! I even prepared for it, knowing it was coming before my next fill-up, and still managed to miss the golden moment :smack:

And the moment I was like "Ohhh crap I forgot! I forgot! Where's my camera! ahhhhhh :willynilly:"

I haven't seen your MR2 thread pop up in awhile. Have you done anything to it lately?

I've done quite a lot to it actually, it's pretty much the only thing I've been working on these last few years. It sat in storage for 6 yrs while I daily drove my truck and back in 2010 I got it back on the road. Check out my rebirth thread on my personal forum here: http://bigmike.marlincrawler.com/forum/index.php?topic=87 I've thought about mirroring the thread here on the MC forum but since it's not a Crawler I haven't given it too much consideration... Mirroring it would be quite simple to do really.

Running a C.A.R.B.-approved USDM Supercharged 4A-GZE 1587cc engine conversion, currently upwards to 200 HP on stock cams, water/methanol injection controlled by a programmable multicore Parallax Propeller, 12 PSI boost, and a hybrid 6-speed trans from a Lotus Exige. Last time I weighed it it was 2,250 lbs. Oversized brakes, Porterfield racing pads, Suspension Techniques progressive-rate springs and adjustable swaybars F&R, Tokico 5-way adjustable strus, Prothane bushings, 205x50R15 Japanese-made Bridgestone RE-11A on 15" Rota Grids, etc. Custom intake, custom exhaust using a TRD S/C Header. Here is a short YouTube video showing my new intake system back when I was running my stock S/C pulley; It sounds even better today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLYj78Lxrvs

The latest is that I just took it to my first track day ever, Thunderhill this past Sunday. Here are some pics from the on-site photographer that I need to purchase :gap: I'll be doing a write-up on the event on my forum later this week. I took my friend's GoPro and recorded every session but all the footage came out messed up due to a firmware issue. HUGE BUMMER. The audio is perfect but the image is pixelated and all the colors are screwed up. I'm gonna get my own GoPro and become comfortable with one then I'll get some good footage from my next planned track, Leguna Seca

It's actually a very humbling picture and an honor to be in such company. The Audi R8 is, of course, no joke. I didn't check if it was the V8 or V10 version, but it's in the 500 HP range. It was in the same beginner class as me (green wrist band) and was BY FAR the fastest car in my group. It was crazy how much faster it was than my MR2 (to no surprise of course, just wow what a difference a couple hundred grand can make!). I would wave him by to pass and before I could get through the next corner he was already at the end of the next straight-away braking for a corner 2 corners a head of me.

Random Google Images of this beast:

One cool thing that we have in common is that we were amongst the very few cars that were mid-engined :booya:

Audi's are cool cars.  A buddy of mine locally has a Sidekick with a Audi 1.8 T in it.  He says he loves smoking Subaru WRX's with it.
Here's a link to Pirate of it.  http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/suzuki/1097240-zuki-pre-runner-build.html

And since this is the random pic thread!!

This is his "other" race car that he just parted out!

Geeze you guys are so quick to judge. Maybe that battery just has black anodized terminals.

obviously the problem is that the battery terminal is upside down.  :smack:

When I worked at the tire shop, we would sell batteries to customers as a carryout.  An hour later they would call for a service call, because it wouldn't start.  And sure enough, about 75% of the time, the plastic cap was still on.

And that didn't prompt your shop to make customers aware of the cap?
