I wonder if they realize that the rear doors of those units don't lock from the outside? Sure if there is a separator you can't just reach in and unlock the front door but that slim jim can slide past and hit the lock button.

Usually the rear door handes are in-operable, and most have a solid barrier to protect the driver.  They have a little pull tab on the door, a cable or wire that the driver can open the door with.  It is located by the striker for the front door.  At least the ones I worked on for the San Jose PD.  I used to fix there vehicles when the drunks kicked out the windows.  Drunk chicks are the worst.
