Video of N. Calif. Rock Slide on Hwy 96
« on: Mar 04, 2010, 01:19:16 PM »
Pretty impressive. This is along the Klamath river between Orleans and Somes Bar. After you watch the short video, you can click on it again and it replays bigger. Same with the small pic showing the river -- click on it to see a bigger pic.

I also taught him how to put in 5min of hard work and then spend 15min staring and admiring what you have done...

Yes, but there's a good chance that was a one-time event. I'm familiar with quite a lot of that road, and there are a great many areas that would need to have walls. Even if the state wasn't deep in debt, there would never be enough money allocated for retaining walls at every area where a slide is possible.

nothing a good loader and a couple of trucks couldnt have fixed in a good work day....as long as they have a place close to offload...it does look like a dangerous slide though....

they should just dump it right over the edge there but im sure that the rock may endanger some of the native fish.....or something like that lol
Those are some huge welds!
