1st gen with 20R, 5.29 gears, 37" tires and 5 speed:  About 80....if you hold it floored for like 5 minutes and its perfectly flat.  Usually its pretty strung out at 75, but will kinda hold it....right up until the slightest incline...

I have a 3.4L, 5speed, 35's and 5.29's and have no problem accelerating.  Usually cruise around 65mph all day long.  when i get to about 70 im around 3200rpms, right in the power band, sucking gas.  So i try to stay slower than that.  Its nice though, hills arn't an issue anymore and it straight pulls.

Right now im rolling on 4.10's and on the highway speeds it is much better. hills, well not so much. I think right now on the 4.10's crusing at 70mph im just above 2500 rpms.

Right now in my 87 with 22re, R151F, 4.10 and 31" BFG MTRs, I can run 70+ all day long.  But on hills, it's between 3rd and 4th, and holding 60 easy.  But pegged to firewall.  That's empty though.  With several hundred pounds, I'm struggling on keeping the rpm's up.  And that is with stock exhaust, and a "open" cat.

In July, I'm gonna keep a journal to see what happens, cause I'm going to Yellowstone.  Taking two rigs, since our van won't hold all of us.  So, I'll get to see what I do at different elevations.   Cause I'm at sea level right now.

off subject but if you have never been to montana/wyoming (i live here in MT) or yellowstone your gonna love this place!! i highly recomend getting up to glacier park if you have enough time. Something you can only see here in MT and my favorite place in the world!! then you can really test how it does at elevation

One day I'd love to go to Glacier.  But its not in the cards this trip.  We will be staying at a house in West Yellowstone, and we will be spending 3 whole days at Yellowstone, and a part of a day doing the Tetons and whatever we missed at Yellowstone.

My dream is when it's just my wife and I, I just want to get a little rig and start going to places.  Like Glacier, Zion, Painted Hills, and so on.  Next time I'm in Fresno, I'm doing to Yosemite.  We almost got there and they had a rock slide on the road in.   :-\
