my 86 (new engine IN!! PICS up.)
« on: Jan 22, 2009, 09:23:45 PM »
nothing fancy has been done yet...just minor ad-ons and removing of some parts. Pics will be posted frequently

heres the 1st day i got it...it was running on 2 of the 4 cylinders (the rear cylinders didnt have a spark plugs) Best 900 bucks i spent. 4in rancho lift, nice sound system (i put the sub in) new rear end.

Still the 1st day, had to see what she had=) that would be a smirnoff bottle resting 6in's under the tire

Hate fender flares, so i striped em off and decided to put my pirate flag up=)

I repainted my truck (rattle can) over the Hercaliner, and added new flood lights

gave those other flood lights to Solar86 and got me some KC's for a b-day present to myself

Not even up to date...that front smitty has been sold and i have a stock one on now ( looks alot better) ill post soon;
also new 33x12.50R15 Toyo's M/Ts; i also wanna recut the rear rocker panel behind the rear tire...i messed up bad.

My new setup. Got a stock, 3 piece bumper (i think it looks cleaner)

Put my KC's about 6in's away from the grill. i plan on getting some sort of stinger that i can bolt to my frame to protect the lights

same thing...need to weld more but overall looking great

Made some custom bumper brackets so now it doesnt hang down a mile and a half, and it protects stuff that needs protecting...unlike before (all it protected was thin air) final note...i have more clearance now too

I got that same bumper but after my bob-job last weekend I put behind the shop and built a new cross member rear bumper hitch set up all in one, cleans it up nice. Good looking truck by the way I like the bed liner on the outside looks sweet.

UPDATE!!!!! So im not selling the yota!! im not giving up on it. my old man and i pulled the engine and tranny today. the problem was..tranny was doin something way werid (pushin clutch pedal while truck was in gear and the truck would ingage! the truck would actually go forward, let out on clutch...truck would act as if it was in neutral.) turns out, a bolt behind the fly wheel shot out and lodged itself between the housing and another bolt, wish i had pics cuz ive never seen anything like that. it was to cold to take pics. anywho impacted all the bolts back in (they were finger tight...back yard mechanics before us i guess) and the tranny is as good as new=) gunna acid dip it and get it back to bling bling. i ordered a rebuild kit for the engine. all should be done by next weekend
