I have been visiting this forum and I just decided to introduce myself. I have owned a 1983 toy  with a 3 inch lift and 33 inch tires; I sold it because I found a hole in the frame. HUGE mistake! Before that I had a 94 toyota truck with a body lift and 35 inch Mickey Thompson tires. I sold it to buy the 83 toy. I then bought a 87 4runner and drove it until I had Pep Boys change the timing belt. That lasted one year and it has been sitting in my driveway for more than 5 years. The timing chain tensioner got stuck in the open positions and the chain skipped a few teeth. I am thinking of make it street worthy again and installing a lift with 33 inch tires. It might not sound extreme, but the only wheeling I do is when I drive through a campsite before I pitch my tent. I hope to learn plenty from here and I do enjoy the amount of work done to the trucks on this site, they are awesome.

welcome from a new guy to

Sorry, I haven't been responding to the greetings. I've had to put to rest my 15 year old yorkie. He was a great companion and a member of my family. It seems like everything else will take a back seat for now.
