QuoteHey trt2 Great pics... thats a Gnarly water crossing.. So who went out in the water to make sure it it was passable¿¿¿ :smack:

thanks for the kind words... that was the first crossing on fordyce at something like 475 cu feet per second (or something like that).  It was pretty deep... Mudrak went first with his 36s, I went next with 33s and could feel the river pushing me downstream.... exited in the bushes.  Of course, I have also seen a lot worse....

At the second crossing, I simply said No Way!  While most of my group just camped there, Phil (who had busted his birf elimator again) and I exited the trail at night (and crossed again) and entered from the Meadow lake side.  At winch hill 4, my battery finally gave out (lost the alternator in the water I guess) and I had to borrow a battery box from a guy I met on the trail there, (Armstrong) which I returned.  Sent him some stickers and stuff to show my appreciation for his help, come to find out he died around Christmas of that same year... shame, he was a nice guy.

I've got to spend some time on my site and update the pix... done an awful lot since then, both wheeling and mods to the truck.  No time for that kinda stuff lately.

OK, who is up for Fordyce on Oct 5th???

quit web wheeling and lets get out there before it starts raining hard...

Oct 5th, meet at Cisco Grove Chevron at 9 AM.

How about it Cruzila???

I'm going to contact a few Crawler folks in my club and we're hitting it.  Lets keep it Marlin type folks so the group does not get outta hand.
