I have to go with Moab, mostly because it is only an hour and a half drive for me.  Also I might include 21 road/Hunter Canyon here in Grand Junction since we are not limiting choices to the list.  It is a cool trail that gets a major face lift every spring when the runoff remodels the obstacles.

QuoteHey WhiteToy (Rick)...

ya, Fordyce just sux...   ;)

Be sure to tell everyone not to even bother with it.  Ya, go to Rubicon instead with all the others.

the river crossings will sweep you away...

take care (and good call)

Oh yeah, right.
Unless you have 44's and can drive thru 4 feet of H20,
STAY AWAY FROM FORDYCE.
You will hydraulic your motor, suck water into your
pumpkins, and get your ass wet (if in a CJ).
Go to the hammers instead, where its nice and dry.

i went to moab once it was really cool.  the pictures don't do it justice.  i had my motorcycle so i covered a lot of land with a friend of mine.  i saw the Gemini natural bridges and the trails take you to these cliff edges that show awesome views.  i have to go back.

also i know it's closed but when i was young my dad used to four wheel the calistoga trail.  anyone else wheel that one?

Well since I haven't done Moab or Tellico yet I can only really vote on the Con and Fordyce........Fordyce gets my vote.  Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be more sustained wheeling down the length of the trail when compared to the Con. It always seems like once I get past gatekeeper it's a blink of the eye before I'm at the box...I know everyone goes there to bang the "box" but aside from the sluice boxes and cadillac it's an nice easy trail. Fordyce on the other hand seems to have alot more stuff on the trail itself....(4 water crossings and 5 "winch hills") plus if you get off the beaten path on Fordyce there are tons of nice fishing spots and beautiful scenery........

I'm with trt 2  though....it sucks, don't go there  ;)

Hey Rick, (white toy) remember Mr. Hummer at the first crossing when we met up with you....what a pompous a$$....

Right on DJ_dave....

We should try to get one more run there before it gets too late in the year....

Oct 5th works best, sept 28 is tolerable...

I'm hosting a club newbie run to the Rubicon on the 21st, and heading to the Hammers on Oct 19th for a week, then tagging the Gambol on the following weekend...

Providing the rain holds off, Oct 5th should work great.

I haven't done any of the trails on the list, yet! I've done the Dusy twice. once each way. Went up big Thompson this Labor Day. Was fantastic. I live very near the Hammers, but haven't done them yet. Maybe this year. We are headed out to that neck of the woods this November on a club run, might be a good time to look the place over.
