mid to late January im looking to take the 4runner snow wheeling since coming from va i have wheeled rear snow maybe 2 times lol....and i dont know if 2" of snow counts....

anyone have any good suggestions on where to go either around boulder or Colorado springs ? my brother in law has a jeep jk on 33's and im sure he will want to go too... something easy maybe just some hill climbs where we can gas our motors up a bit.

also i would love to see if anyone else wants to come so i can meet some local wheelers.

You heard of traildamage.com? Check it out for a ton of CO (and surrounding states) trails. You know where Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap are, right? Further out Old Stage Road are a few more trails but I haven't been there in a while... CRXs do not fare well off-roading.  :shakehead:

I have a 79 4x4 in my shop right now but it'll be gone in a few days. I'll clean up and get organized for your Runner next month!   8)

There ought to be some local numbers listed for the Ranger stations to call and see what's closed/open etc.
Or you could do it the old-fashioned way: Yellow Pages.

rollins pass area would be decent, might be too much though... I have done middle st vrain in snow, but I think they close it in the winter now... Winter is usually my build up time, my vehicles are usually in the garage for one reason or another all winter. This winter I have to build a rig from stock... so I hope to be done by my spring break in march, which is MOAB TIME!!!

Rollins pass is fun on a snowmobile, but would be a bit much for a wheeler...   Middle st vrain is closed (once again a good ride on the sled).

I would try old bunchy school road.  Easy easy w/o snow, but lots of hammer down when there is a foot or so.
