i head to Florida for my pre-deployment training beginning Jan 17th. slated to go to Baghdad Iraq but hearing that we might get redirected to Afghanistan.

Hey the guys at the Marlin shop finally got their month-old cookies yesterday!!   LOL.  If you get any in the mail, be sure to check the post mark!  If it's November 4th, I'd inspect them carefully before consuming.

Hope it goes well Red!  People I've talked to who've been to afghanistan said you get used to the weather there just like anywhere else.  Hope you getta blow up some bad guys

My sister AMU in our squadron is going to Florida at the end of January for Red Flag, then they are going to Vegas from there, then Trashcanastan.  We're relieving them from the sand box.  They are the 510 AMU supporting the 510 FS from Aviano.  You may be getting trained up with those fellers.  If by chance you do work around those guys, make fun of their purple reflective belts and tell them green is a better color (that's my AMUs color haha)

lol if i see the reflective belts i'll give em hell for ya! the training i'm going to is just EOD, COBRA is what our training is called. why are they going to Vegas after Red Flag?

The Ops guys are getting trained up at both locations.  One month in Florida, one month at Nellis.  They have to go in support of of the pilots anywhere the jets are.  I'm going on the same pre deployment TDY next fall.
