so i was reading on Pirate and they were saying that the waggy 44 is not that great. something about ford HP44 blah blah blah. they lost me at ford. anyway i might look into just running a toy axle.

Read up on 4x4 wire. There's lots of info. And They're all Dana axles... You can take a chevy 44, switch axle tubes, run a dodge short side shaft, waggy long side, and have a drivers drop chevy/dodge/jeep 44 with six lug outers that's only a couple inches over 60".

i went over to that 4x4 wire site. it seemed pretty confusing when i searched "dana 44". is that a website for a magazine also?

ya it will be a good one when i get it all going. im pretty much on a mission to prove that a sas can be done for relatively cheap. the axle is going to be the most expensive thing to this project.

im also gonna explain what i do and how i do it. basically make a thread that i would find helpful when researching

awhile ago i read a thread about steering boxes, and it said that one of the IFS boxes was better. i cant find it anywhere. does anyone know anything about 86-88 being better than 89-94?

I haven't personally run any 44 arms. But i'm at wfo concepts all the time and Trevor and Boe have a nice little selection, i'd give them a call and see what will work best for you.

thanks, i managed to keep it some what straight. i was doing about 50 mph. if the top strut had broke, this would have become a "check out my new rig" thread.

as a consequence of the bj going out. i warped the rotor on the driver side. does anybody have some old ones for cheap that i can have to get by on?
