Well i kinda screwed myself over today. i got a scout II forward swing and took the whole thing apart to tap it for hydro assist. i was able to find enough information to tap it. that's not the problem. the issue is putting the damn thing back together. easier said than done. and its not just as simple as putting it back together how i took it apart.

Does anyone know of a good rebuild thread for this. i cant find any info or pictures that explains how to put them back together.

:talkingn: I feel your pain, I tapped mine years ago before going full hydro.

Any writeup you find on a saginaw box will work.  They are all functionally the same inside.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Mind posting whatever you find for the saginaw here?  I've got a buddy who is looking to tap his box (that just sounds bad :gap: )  soon, and the help would be much appreciated.

its pretty much one of the easiest boxes to tap. its just the assembly thats more difficult. mainly cuz if you fully take it apart theres 22 ball bearings that just fall out everywhere and getting them back to where they go can be difficult. plus theres an order of operation to get it back together.

heres the thread that shows how to tax both the saginaw, and the scout II box
