Nice build; I'm jealous of your duals...
How did you make the rear shackle hangers for the 63s? I'm going to do this soon; have the front spring mounts figured out but am stumped on how to do the rears. If I did it like yours I'd have to take off my bumper (also have a flat bed). Did the 63s move the axle forward/backwards any? I'd like to stratch my wheelbase since it's a regular cab/shot box.

Half way down the first page is where the info is on my chevy install. Streching the wheelbase is simple, you'll just have to move the hanger and the shackle mount back. Mine is a couple inches forward of stock...

Couple pics from KOH that I never posted..

It's a race dude, and that wasn't him. That was his little brother in his old car... He built a IFS car this year.

This is a sick build for a high school build I'm in high school right now and i would be stoked if i could get my truck this built

YOTA yota

So I have this Trailgear t-case skid/x-member and it doesn't fit my truck. So I think I'm just gonna chop it up, make it fit and make it flat... It'll be a lot cheaper, and I like cheap.

pumkin toy

sounds like a good idea!  go for it, I like chopping stuff up!  just did some more chopping on my rig tonight

Nice! I mean I might as well try this since I have it instead of droppin like $300+ on a FROR x-member and skid to flatbelly it... That means I can get Long's sooner

Hey dude how do you like your engine? How much better is it than your stock 22r? Also, what kind of mpg do you get with your 5.29s and 33s? I run 4.10s with 33s and am looking to go to 4.88s or 5.29s. Thanks and sorry for all the questions haha

YOTA yota

I love my new motor, I've put about 7,000 miles on it and so far so good. I took it on a 1000+ mile trip last month and it did great. As for power, it's deffinately better than my old stock 240,000 mile motor thats for sure. I don't know what kind of mpg I get because my odometer isn't correct. Your probably gonna get bigger tires so I would just do it right the first time and get 5.29's. I like it right now but once these wear out I'm movin up to 37's...

So I put my duals in a while ago and I had high/high, low/high, high/low and low/low. It worked for a couple days and then the crawlbox would not shift into low.

I finally took it apart today and all I can see is that the shift collar will not slide onto low. I flipped it over and it still didn't work. It does work both ways on high though...

Heres pictures

HELP!!

Did you put grease on all the bearings and anything that creates friction when you originally put it together? If you don't do that you stand a good chance of burning sheit up before the gear oil gets slung everywhere...

I bought it put together. That was a mistake.

It was the bearing on the couple that was burnt up and it torched the coupler, the bering inside the coupler, the input shaft and it worped stuff so the shift callor wouldn't slide onto low...

Took it to Dave'z he said he could get the coupler and bearing and it would take a couple days to order it n all that so I said f that and for 100 bucks more I walked out with a whole new adapter and everything works great.

Tested it out today at my buddies house who owns a firewood company and played on some piles of wood and basically duals are the :pokinit:! Thats the first time I've been able to use em. Can't wait to actually go wheelin!

jrock

Bad a$$ man! That trip to the Hammers toasted that bearing.
