my new 4runner

well im moving to colorado in 2 months to finish school and about 3 weeks ago i bought me a 4runner out there..... well first day i got it i rolled it up on eagle rock coming down off the mountain.... good thing its a play toy anyways and now i wont be scared to wheel it but i all ready have alot of plans for it now SPECS ARE:

37mtrs with TR beadlocks
3.8 oldsmobile motor with a w56 and MC doubler with stock gears
high angle drivelines
elockers
411 gears
rear disc brakes
all pro ebrake
5" alcan springs
2"BL
budbuilt crossmember
custom front rear bumpers and rock sliders
it was very very clean till i rolled it

plans take off body lift get internal roll cage 4.7 rear gears, hydro assist, front winch, and get a soft top for it.....

i am moving to broomfield colorado in december to go to university of colorado and plan on wheeling the out of the truck as soon as i get there.... i am from VA so colorado is pretty different than here.... oh and moab is a drive away  

also im going to pry out the roof put a new piece of front glass in i have an extra sunroof im going to try and straighten it out and caulk it shut...

damn thats horrible to see it rolled over! that rig is sexy!  and you are right, its too tall. thats probly why it flopped!   i really like the rear bumper too

seats were some aftermarket ones... the roll was drivers side roof then pass side

Looks sick man, that's pretty much the exact rig I've been looking for (minus the body lift and + the cage)  The roll just gives it a little more character

ya im debating keeping rear bumper and just cutting down the bracket...  the truck is still sweet as i flew out to colorado to buy it so i guess u all can see why.... i just cant wait to get out there and get it up and running good and out to some more trails way more to come

Now i thought he needed the 2" body lift for the motor so he did not have to cut the body??

im gonna cut the body he told me when i bought it that he put it on there to keep the motor cool but he never had it without one.... the motor stays under 200 anyways.... so i think  it will still be good....

im counting the days for when i move!!!!!!!!!

ya when i get there im gonna sell the front bumper i think and modify the rear and the sliders..... i dont think he really wheeled it he said he did but the rims were polished with zero scraps or scratches.... as soon as i get there im gonna highlift the roof out and get a 4xinnovations cage to put in it..... im gonna need to cut fenders out a bit too because tires rubbed how it sat(which is what made me roll it) it might also need some bump stop extentions but ill have to see about that....

the BL i dont think is gonna matter really the motor ran strong..... and not hot at all

i need to get a twin stick for the rear case also i think it might need some lower axle gears as it is kinda sluggish starting off....... 5th gear was not used driving it from denver to colorado springs once it was more like 3rd and 4th

is there anyother colorado 4x4 forums i know about marlins section but it doesnt look like a ton of action on there

i could tell this truck was his baby he owned it since 1994 i would feel like a richard sending him a pic..... i did tell him once i get out there we gonna go wheeling in it so im planning on doing that.....

im gonna need a new top if anyone has a lead on a cheap one lemme know in denver or colorado springs

are you looking for the back topper or the cab? i have a cab if you wont it. i dont have the topper any more, my runner was bobbed and dovetailed but like i said if you need cab its yours. mine had a sunroof, i also have the side glass for the topper

im gonna try to just fix the cab its not super bad i think a 4x4 and a highlift will fix most of it.... i have the big rear piece of glass for the top but i dont have the sliding piece.... the top is a bit tweaked too so i dont know if that will effect me putting the new glass in it... plus the top was herculined and the dude told me its heavy as so we will see when i get there ill hit u up if im just gonna keep the top

I saw that runner on Craigslist last time i looked. I thought it was a sweet rig.  I like the seats,wheel and tire combo and the rear bumper.

my pos is too tall too....i bought it that way.....it takes some getting used to......definitely feels tippy.....
