Kyle, what is a good aftermarket lens?  I see you have several brands.  I'm looking at saving up for a more universal lens, so I'm not switching lenses all the time.  Since, my Nikon D70 doesn't have the sensor cleaner that every camera since then have.  So, I'm looking for a good 18-200mm lens.  And I'm wondering what lens brand should I look at?  I know the Nikkor lens that Nikon has, is very good, but how good are the aftermarkets?  I know Tamron has been around a long time.

Prime lenses (no zoom) are the clearest. Sigma is my favorite so far, But I would love the Canon 50mm 1.2
Are you having problems with dust spots on your sensor?

Cheesemaker

Yeah.  I got the little rocket blower.  Which helps, but not always.  The Nikon D70 has alot of flaws, that has been addressed in all cameras since.  I've learned to work around a few of the little quirks.  I love my camera as much as the sensor likes to attract dust.

Just shoot f11 or bigger (f3.5 or 4.5) and you'll be good.

Good tips for sensor cleaning
http://www.copperhillimages.com/index.php?pr=tutorials

If your images look like this, then you need to clean your sensor.
Usually can be seen from f13-f36

MiniSimp

Little crop adjustment on this one.
What do you think?

lilbuddy

I like the lady bug much better with the crop

Lady Bug looks better.

My sensor doesn't look like that, but there is a speck that bothers me.  So, do you clean your sensors yourself Kyle?  And it really that easy like they say with the kits?

Can you see the 4 spots??  (on my 19" monitor they stand out, one REALLY stands out)

Kyle I think you would love the Art Center in Seattle.  :yesnod:

Yep, very clear.
Just do the cleaning like I posted in the link.
Take your time, don't try to kill it.

Very nice!
Only thing I would do is adjust the white balance so that the ambient light on the base of the tower is white.

The sandy stuff that its on is way too bright. The glass is also very dirty. Im sure if you messed with the levels it might come out better but that glass is just too dirty. I noticed the streaks before the shrimp

But that's not Hyena driving.  :hahaha:

Camera recommendation that will do wide screen Hi def?    I want to be able to take pictures that match the size of my source video so i can incorporate them into my vids.
I like to Drive!

LB- first shot is good, but the driver could be lit a little in PS. 2nd shot needs a little more on the bottom, truck is cut off.

46&2- Deffinetly needs glass cleaner. When taking shots of fish/stuff in tanks you want the illusion that they are not actually in a tank.
