What type of tripod and head do you use.  I need to replace my el cheapo' Velbon tripod.  I want a good one, but I don't want to go all fancy and broke.

So what do you use to convert them?

I thought CS3 edited in whatever format you give it. It then converted to whatever you wanted. RAW is just the best format to edit from.

I don't know about the older versions of PS but if you have CS3 or CS4 you can open a photo is any format including RAW. When you're done editing you choose Save As and select the file format you'd like to save it as.

If you're unable to upload a photo to the net with it in RAW format, try another format like .TIFF and maybe that will work. .TIFF is better than .JPEG so if it works than you're good to go. :)

The whole purpose of shooting in RAW (whether you later change it to a less quality format or not) is because it is the most pure format to shoot in. Shooting in RAW captures the most amount of information possible and gives you the most amount of data possible to work with in an editing program. :)

Sorry, this may be easier.

Simp thank you for the link. I actually did this to a photo in my photography class on Monday. What I'm still curious about though is why you say that the Mindkiller photo has been flipped. Still lost on that one but the whole polarizing feature I'm good with.

Thanks again for the link.

MiniSimp

Sorry, let me see if I can make sense. You will need to flip the photo upside down to make a planet, if not, it will do the oposite and look like it's in a tube.

OOoooooohhh!!! OK!!! haha I get what you're talking about now. That's interesting because when I read that tutorial I wondered why it told you to rotate it 180 degrees. I didn't realize the polarizing feature would affect the photo differently if you rotated it opposed to not rotating it.

Good to know! Thank You! :)

I think I've over edited this one about as much as I can! :talkingn:
Looks cool to me.
Amazing what you can accomplish when you're bored. :gap:

Not bad Chris! If  you can adjust your AV turn it down to F22 or lower and you can have both trucks in focus.

jrock

It looks good just like it is :)

Dang, you get around.
Yeah, we're usually willing to travel 3 hours in any direction to see something. Any longer than that we usually won't do unless we happen to be there for family or something.

jrock

I'm the same. I'm jealous of your travels :)

I like this one.

Dingman.

I was driving around one day and i had to stop and get that picture.

I wish my camera had more settings or features i could play with, but unfortunately it doesn't.
I don't even know what model it is but its a Sony cybershot of some sort.

Even the cheapest Cybershot has some manual settings, find out the model and I can tell you what it can do.
