« on: Sep 21, 2009, 07:34:43 PM »
its 2wd 2.4l auto that had a blown motor in it with 160k that sat for 2.5 years... then i decided to replace the motor... the problem is it will ididle high and it will clunk in reverse and the other gears.... it shifts fine from  1 2 3 4 but when selecting what drive to be in it clunks... when cold it idles fine and doesnt clunk?? what will make it idle high? the throttle cable to my knowledge isnt sticking... also when you coast it really isnt a coast.... it will decell very very very slowly if i let off the gas...

when coming to a stop you can simply pull it down into 3rd 4th is an overdrive so it wont give much "slow down"

is this a toyota Tacoma pickup or a 95 toyota pickup

it was my understanding Tacoma didnt come out till the 96 year model but if you have a late year 95  it could be a 96 Tacoma sold in the fall of 95  so it was titled as a 95

if it says TACOMA on it then its a TACOMA

regular toyota up till 95 had the 22RE,  aTacoma's had the 2RZ or 3RZ
