I didnt realize your pops was there FFC I would have tracked him down. We almost rolled at moon rocks and he jumped into my lap, since then Ive always liked the guy. Hahaha

It's the new 12k powerplant. Worked like a charm. Just had to massage the bumper a bit to get it to fit. I'll start a thread one day about the install, took some pictures I'll post.

Nah, no interest in the building part.  He likes getting out and enjoying the outdoors.  He wants to go again, and he likes driving, but he doesn't care to build one for himself.

WOW that was an incredible trip!!! Never being to the Rubicon, I had no idea what exactly to expect! It was really great, we met a bunch of cool people, ran the whole trail from Loon Lake to Lake Tahoe and back, and made it home (for the most part) without incident! I got to meet some of the Marlin Crew, we got a shoutout at the dinner on Sat, one of our crew won some tube doors and something else, and everyone was really cool even though we were in a Sidekick! :yupyup: Thanks Marlin Crawler for putting on a great event!!! :biggthumpup: I took a bunch of pics, here's some of them:

Yes, it was really a trip to remember, and everyone we met was really cool! By the time you get to Rubicon Springs you feel a real camaraderie with everyone else who made it :beerchug: I was fairly nervous driving the first leg of the trip, so it was nice to finally relax on Saturday, and the dinner was great.

We took our time getting back to Loon Lake, we didn't get there until almost dark. We stopped in Lake Tahoe at a restaurant for some of the best burgers I've ever had! It only took a few hours to get past Cadallac Hill though. We did wait a little bit, but everyone was careful not to block the trail so that was very cool. (I heard last year it took a long long time to get thru Cadallac)
