We'll i've been lurking on the board for awhile but i finally got some pics of my truck so i figured i would post them up.  It's a 1980 longbed, it's basically all stock and I plan to pretty much keep it that way.  I bought the truck so i could haul my dog and bike/bikes to my local riding spots as well as being a dd. when i got the truck the owner said it ran,  yep only 40 mph,  the carb was had a crack and the 2nd was no working, so i ripped it off and put on a weber 32/36 along with a new electric fuel pump and fixing the wiring mess,  i know it doesn't look great but you should have seen it before i got it.

if money is tight find a 22R exhaust manifold and down pipe, it is alot better flow than the 20R manifold

thanks for the advice 79coyote,  i'll look for one but not only is money tight but i have a wife who absolutely hates my truck and gets pissy when i work on it...lol   but i do have plans to redo the engine and see if my father will port and polish the head to help it flow better... the only thing i want at the moment is a l52 5 speed and a new set of front springs oh and shocks......

the 20R head REALLY flows good,  its extremely efficient thats why alot of guys (me included) want to run a 20R head on a 22R block its THAT much better

i 'm going to send a friend of mine the link to this thread, he's from Atoka,  he might have a 22R exhaust  or know where you can find one CHEAP
