Those little bumps caused the driver front corner to be 1.5" lower than the passenger side.

is that a front bumper or did you smash into a big metal gate and it stuck to your truck??

moutaintoys

how far back you putting the motor?
Lets go break somethin "GO NAVY"

The motor is set back 8" right now. I tried 4" and had some clearance issues with my header. After doing some thinking, I realized that with the tires I'm going to run, I'll probably end up with a 113" or so wheel base and pushing the motor back this far "should" aid in weight distribution between the axles. We'll see. Even with that long of a wheel base, I should still be okay in the turning department since with the 60 I'll probably still be about as tight as I was with the 107" WB I had with the Toy axles. I'm just waiting for Mike to finish up my chassis now and then I can really start getting stuff done. Espeacially now that I've got it back in the garage.  :flamer:

Not too much new to report. Waiting patiently for my chassis number to come up. From what Mike said, he should be building it this week.  I did make a run down to LA this morning for the new skins. "Da ladies lub a man who requires da large rubbas"

As they sit right now (unmounted) they measure 42", once I dig out the hot knife and throw them on my 8.5" hummer wheels, they should grow quite nicely.  :rockingout:

Patience grasshopper. This is one of the few times I have been on the computer since the chassis has shown up. If I have free time, I've been working on it. I just jammed home for my 20 min. lunch break (after the driving) so I could get a little more welding done. Hopefully start bending up the floor supports this evening.  :drooling:

Didn't much care for the straight up and down front hoop and since my front spring hanger extends out the front a bit, I figured I'd go for a bit o tha gangsta lean.  :afro2:

Got all the frame mounts done. There will be 1 more each side on the back hoop section when I get it in.

I used the tape to lay out my floor frame work so I can see it rather than almost crap myself from trying to visualize.  :moon:

OH yeah, and the reason progress is slow. Got to have the daddy time before the truck time. After Hazel goes to sleep, then Daddy gets to play for an hour or 2.

Have you ran your LC headers long? I just noticed that the aluminizing is burning off of mine and am wondering how yours are holding up. Mine are only 6 months old or so. Great build I can't wait to turn mine into a buggy  :driving:  :turtle:

I definately like the leant back front hoop better.  I have always hated that part of the formula rigs.  The straight up and down looks gay.

Keep up the good work.

85 Runner, 5" All-Pro Extreme Lift, Complete Marlin T-Case with new TS 4.7 gears, Super Birfields(Longfields), 5:29's, Detroited front, Spooled rear, 36" TSL's, Bikini top.

Yes, Livin in Kansas sucks azz!!

Yeah I've had mine for a year or so. Haven't had any problems yet. Bad pat is I'm going to have to cut and weld that beautiful piece of tube as it is going to conflict with my floor otherwise.

Apparently since so many people were cutting them off, Mike made the hoop an option. When he offered it to me, there was no chance of me adding it.  :puke3:

Approach angle is looking good. I need to grind the corners round on the front spring hangers. Should be 90+
