no, what you pointed in your picture is the oil pressure sending unit. the reason you don't have it on your other 22r is probably because it has the check oil dummy light.

Thanks for the response,  So this vehicle has two oil sending units?  What would be the smaller one, just on the top left.

I think the big one is the oil pressure for the gauge and the other is the one for the idiot light.  At least when i ordered mine from napa they asked which one i wanted.

The part you have circled is the oil pressure sending unit for an SR5 dash cluster.  Non SR5's have a smaller sending unit that is basically an on off switch for the low oil pressure idiot light.  Either one screws into the block in the same location.  Having never owned an 82 I am not sure what the small part is to the left of the oil filter.  Best of luck to you.   :beerchug:

Just as others have mentioned...big one (circled) is the oil pressure sending unit. Small one is the oil pressure switch. First gens have two instrument clusters. The main cluster has the oil idiot light and if you have a base model that's all you'll have. If you have a nicer model you'll have the separate oil & volt cluster. If you have both these, the idiot light and the pressure gauge, you'll have a separate sending unit for each.
